Sunderland ‘genius’ tipped to leave
Sunderland have had plenty of players linked away this season. Both Jobe Bellingham and Jack Clarke have attracted interest from Lazio with Dan Ballard also reportedly set to leave.
Another player who may also be leaving the club at the end of the season is Bradley Dack. The midfielder joined at the start of the campaign but has had little luck with constant injuries.
Now, it has been reported that Dack is likely to leave at the end of the season upon the expiry of his contract.

Sunderland ace ‘really struggled’

The Black Cats fell to their fifth defeat on the bounce on Tuesday night as table-toppers Leicester overcame Mike Dodds’ side 1-0.
Despite having the home advantage at the Stadium of Light, many failed to perform as Sunderland fell to 10 points off the playoff positions in 11th.
One member of the first team who failed to perform was Leo Hjelde. One journalist claimed that he ‘really struggled defensively early on’ against the Foxes.

Referees ‘blatant error’

While the defeat to Leicester certainly didn’t set the world alight, many would argue that Sunderland should have gotten something from the game through one incident.
As Ballard was played into the box, he was brought down by a Leicester player. However, the referee Sunny Gill did not award a penalty.
One journalist was amazed that the referee did not give it, believing he ‘bottled it’. The penalty certainly would have given Sunderland a chance to end their losing streak.
