Sunderland have yet another supreme striking prospect in their ranks on track to be the next big thing for the Black Cats.
Sunderland are currently sat in fourth place in the Championship table, with Alex Neil’s Millwall visiting the Stadium of Light on Saturday as the Black Cats return to action following the international break.
Regis Le Bris’ side have enjoyed an impressive campaign so far, and are firm favourites to secure one of the coveted Championship play-off positions.
Sunderland’s stellar season has been thanks to – in no small part – their strike partnership duo of Wilson Isidor and Eliezer Mayenda. Both Black Cats frontmen have been in fine goalscoring form this term, with Isidor currently the club’s top finisher with 12 goals, and youngster Mayenda just behind with seven.
Their continued potent attacking play will be pivotal for Sunderland’s promotion push, but an academy goalscoring ‘phenomenon’ has been courting attention behind the first-team scenes, and Le Bris could hand the starlet his debut before the campaign curtails.

‘Phenomenon’ Finn Geragusian in fine form for Sunderland Under-21s
Sunderland’s 17-year-old centre-forward starlet Finn Geragusian has been in superb goalscoring form for Graeme Murty’s Under-21s this season.
The six-foot-four striker began the season in the Black Cats’ Under-18s, notching six goals and four assists before the Armenian youth international was promoted to the Under-21s, where his stock has continued to rise.
In Geragusian’s most recent showing before the international break, he bagged a brace against Leeds’ youngsters in a 3-0 Premier League Two victory, taking his tally in the Sunderland academy this season to 15-goal contributions in just 20 outings.

James Copley said of Geragusian’s form this season via the Sunderland Echo: “The standout in recent weeks has been Finn Geragusian, he’s just been this phenomenon. In terms of contributing and imprinting his will on a game, he’s doing it way beyond his years, and he’s got time to grow and learn. Very, very impressive.”
Finn Geragusian next in line to make Sunderland senior debut
Le Bris is no stranger to handing first-team debuts for academy products this term, with the likes of Tommy Watson, Harrison Jones and Trey Ogunsuyi all making the step up to senior Sunderland level this season.
Geragusian is set to return to action for the Black Cats’ Under-21s against Nottingham Forest on April 4, as his side hope to cement their top-16 league finish to earn a play-off spot.
The 9-goal starlet recently received a call-up to Armenia’s Under-19s side which justified international recognition for his breakout campaign.
If Le Bris feels the need to rest Isidor or Mayenda, needs an extra number up-front – or in the worst-case scenario of any injury to either frontman – then Geragusian’s physicality and potential would make for an exciting addition to the Sunderland squad.
