Sunderland are on the brink of matching an unbelievable Championship record going into their away tie against Plymouth Argyle.
It is no secret that Regis Le Bris has had a stunning start to his Sunderland career. The Frenchman has overseen four wins from four Championship ties, with only his Carabao Cup defeat to Preston North End tarnishing his record.
As a result, the Black Cats went into the international break comfortably top of the league thanks to victories over Cardiff City, Sheffield Wednesday, Burnley and Portsmouth.
However, if the Sunderland squad continue this trend on Saturday, they could be the second Championship team to ever achieve a sensational feat.

Sunderland could become the second Championship side to win their opening five games
Since the second tier rebranded into the Championship in the 2004/05 campaign, there have been plenty of incredible teams.
Reading won the division with a record 106 points, Wolves stormed the league with Ruben Neves and Diogo Jota, and Leicester City went on to win the Premier League just two years after promotion.
However, despite all their successes, only Cardiff City has ever won their first five games in the Championship back in the 2017/18 campaign.
This is an achievement that Le Bris and Sunderland could well complete on Saturday. Plymouth are 22nd in the table, with Wayne Rooney still searching for his first league win at the club.

Sunderland must be wary of Plymouth Argyle threat
Despite Plymouth’s form, Sunderland cannot underestimate their opponents on the weekend.
Rooney’s side picked up decent points against Hull City and QPR while the players are going to have to travel hundreds of miles to get to the game.
If Le Bris can get another victory over the line, it could be argued that it is Sunderland’s most important yet.
Not only will a new record be matched set, but it will also showcase that the club’s form has continued over the international break which will be vital for their upcoming games.
