Sunderland are interested in signing AFC Wimbledon striker Ali Al Hamadi.
According to the Sunderland Echo, Sunderland have sent scouts to watch the 21-year-old.
But they are not the only ones interested, with fellow Championship clubs, Leeds United, Cardiff City, Hull City, Bristol City and Stoke City also said to be interested.
Coventry City along with League One sides Barnsley and Peterborough United were all linked with the Iraq international over the summer.
Sunderland had reportedly already sent scouts to watch him during Wimbledon’s 0-0 draw with Barrow earlier in the season.
It is also repeated that the League Two side would want a fee in excess of £1.2 million for their star striker.
Who is Ali Al Hamadi?

Al Hamadi is an Iraq international, who has represented his country on nine occasions.
He has been prolific for Wimbledon in League Two since his arrival from Wycombe Wanderers in January.
He scored ten goals in 19 appearances in the second half of last season, and this season has four goals and five assists in 14 games.
It is well documented that Sunderland are in desperate need of a goal-scoring striker, with none of their recognised strikers scoring so far this season.
The last recognised striker to score for the Black Cats was Ross Stewart when he scored against Middlesbrough in January before his injury curtailed the rest of his season.
Since his departure to Southampton at the end of the summer transfer window, Sunderland have had plenty of problems up front, with winger Jack Clarke being the man scoring all the goals for Tony Mowbray’s side this season.
Nazariy Rusyn, Mason Burstow and Luis Semedo have all tried their luck this season but have so far failed to find the back of the net.
If Al Hamadi were to come in, there would be a lot of pressure for him to hit the ground running
It is highly unlikely he would, as it would take time to adapt, with him jumping two divisions higher.
