Jude Bellingham has reacted to brother Jobe’s recent Player of the Month award.

Posting on his Instagram, the Real Madrid star reacted to Jobe receiving the award from Sunderland after his stellar first month at the club.

The 17-year-old joined the Black Cats from Birmingham City this summer and has so far really impressed, putting on a number of stellar displays and also netting his first and second goals in professional football during the 2-1 win over Rotherham United.

Despite enjoying his own success that has seen him score five goals in four matches for Real Madrid, Jude has continued to show his own support for his brother ever since they both joined their new clubs in June.

Jobe was named as August’s Player of the Month this week and Jude followed it up with an Instagram story tagging the Sunderland youngster, alongside three clapping emojis.

The pair are both currently away on international duty, with the older brother preparing to face Scotland in the senior team’s friendly at Hampden Park this evening. Meanwhile, Jobe made his England U19 debut during a 1-0 defeat to Germany last week and went onto make a cameo appearance against Switzerland a few days later.

The teenager has returned to his natural position in midfield for the Young Lions, though he is taken up more of an attacking role for Sunderland while they have been without many striker options.

Speaking on being used as a number nine recently, Jobe said: “Wherever he asks me to play I’m going to play so I don’t mind. I used to play there quite a lot as a kid, in fact all the time to be honest.

“It’s a different challenge isn’t it, you have to adapt to the game and do whatever the game is asking you to do. I think that’s what the best teams do and I think we did that and the best players do that.

“I thought I did quite well but we’ll see, I don’t really fancy playing nine.”
