Sunderland ‘Til I Die season three comes to Netflix next week, and fans are eager to watch the latest instalment of the hit sports series.

Sunderland ‘Til I Die first released in December 2018, becoming an immediate hit with sports fans around the world.

It offered an excusive insight into the running of the club during what was a very turbulent time for the Black Cats both on and off the pitch.

But season three covers the club’s promotion from League One, and it’ll make for a very exciting watch for Sunderland fans and perhaps most sets of football fans in the UK.

Michael Graham offers early review of Sunderland ‘Til I Die

Journalist Michael Graham was offered an early viewing of the new season of Sunderland ‘Til I Die, which is released on February 13th at 8:01am on Netflix.

And he’s given a stellar review of the season, which is expect to run for only three episodes this time round, posting on X:

Former boss Alex Neil will obviously feature heavily in the series, as well as now Southampton striker Ross Stewart who helped fire the Black Cats to promotion via the play-offs in 2022.

Sunderland beat Wycombe Wanderers 2-0 in the final after Stewart and Elliot Embleton both scored, before going on to secure an impressive and widely unexpected 6th place finish in the last 2022/23 Championship campaign under Tony Mowbray.

Sunderland back on the map

Sunderland spent four years in League One; some of which were documented in prevous seasons of Sunderland ‘Til I Die.

They were some really dark times for the club and they seem like an age ago; especially with the club doing so well now.

Kyril Louis-Dreyfus’ ownership has seen the Black Cats go from strength-to-strength in the Championship, albeit with the odd mistake or the odd criticism, but on the whole it’s been a very positive tenure for the Sunderland owner.

And his side are still in play-off contention this season and with some big money spent in January on some new and exciting players, boss Michael Beale will be hoping that he has the tools to guide Sunderland back into the play-off places before May.

Sunderland are certainly back on the map after their extended period in League One. And the popularity of Sunderland ‘Til I Die certainly helps with publicity and garnering attention at the Stadium of Light.

As for matters on the pitch, Sunderland return to action vs Plymouth Argyle this weekend, with kick off at 3pm on Saturday afternoon.
