Sunderland take on Huddersfield Town in the Championship tomorrow evening.
Sunderland journey into Yorkshire to take on strugglers Huddersfield Town on Wednesday night, with the Black Cats looking to move up into the top six.
Michael Beale‘s side currently sit in 7th place of the table but are level on points with Coventry City in 6th, with the Sky Blues in action away at Plymouth Argyle tomorrow.
Huddersfield meanwhile are down in 21st and come into tomorrow’s game on the back of a 5-3 defeat away at Southampton in their last outing.
The Terriers took a surprise 2-0 lead into the break but conceded five after half-time, with one win in their last eight in all competitions.
David Prutton predicts goals in Huddersfield Town vs Sunderland
Writing his prediction ahead of tomorrow’s game, Sky Sports pundit David Prutton wrote:
“Huddersfield can take a lot from that performance against Southampton, even if they didn’t get anything from the game. No one gave them a prayer on the south coast, so to score three goals and give a side that good a real scare should bode well.
“Sunderland have had a decent couple of wins at home of late which has helped ease some of the pressure on Michael Beale. But they may have run into Huddersfield at the wrong time. There should be goals here, but I fancy a draw.”
Prutton predicts a 2-2 draw.

Away win would mark huge turnaround for Michael Beale
After such a turbulent start to life at the Stadium of Light, the early pressure on Beale is steadily easing, and a win away at Huddersfield Town would really mark a turnaround in fortunes for the 43-year-old.
Although Huddersfield are well down in the standings, they’ve shown a real prowess in front of goal in their last couple of games, beating Sheffield Wednesday 4-0 and then scoring three at Southampton.
So the Black Cats need to be wary. But at the same time, if Sunderland want a top six finish this season then there’s are the types of games they really need to be winning; but the last time these two teams met, Huddersfield took all three points from Wearside after a 2-1 win in November.
But a big win tomorrow would certainly do Beale a world of good as he mends his relationship with Sunderland fans after that patchy start.
Kick off is at 7:45pm tomorrow night, with Coventry in action at the same time, and West Brom in 5th hosting Cardiff City in the 8pm kick off later tonight.
