A world famous footballer was in attendance at Sunderland’s game vs Hull City on Boxing Day.
Sunderland made the trip to the MKM Stadium yesterday afternoon where they faced top six rivals Hull City in a Boxing Day clash.
Michael Beale took his new Sunderland side on the road for the first time, and picked up a much-needed first win following his inaugural 3-0 defeat at home to Coventry City last week.
The goal came from Jack Clarke in the second half; the 23-year-old curled a driven effort into the bottom corner for his 10th goal of the season, and much to the delight of Jude Bellingham in the stands.
Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham watched Sunderland at Hull
The 20-year-old Real Madrid and England star was in the stands at Hull City yesterday, watching younger brother Jobe Bellingham in action.
And footage has emerged showing Jude’s reaction to Clarke’s match-winner:
Since joining Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund in a £100million deal in the summer, Bellingham has taken La Liga by storm, scoring 13 goals in 16 league outings with his side currently in 1st place pf the Spanish top flight.
Sunderland meanwhile moved back up into 6th after a positive win at Hull City, who’ve now dropped down into 7th.
Jobe Bellingham ready to step up for the Black Cats
Jobe Bellingham was also the subject of a transfer move in the summer, leaving Birmingham City for Sunderland.
His move took a while to go through but since, the 18-year-old has featured in 23 times in the Championship for his new club, scoring four goals and grabbing himself an assist.
Following the October international break, Bellingham was looking fatigued; he failed to finish any of the next seven games and was eventually dropped for Tony Mowbray’s final game away at Millwall.
But since that little rest, he’s come back into the side and finished four out of the last five games, with his performance yesterday being one of his best this season.

Beale hailed his performance yesterday and Jude would’ve been impressed with what he saw.
Jobe has some big footsteps to follow in, but at 18 years old he’s making good progression and if he can have a positive couple of seasons at the Stadium of Light, then he could yet come into the conversation for a big, big move.
For now though he’s at Sunderland and he’ll be focused on delivering the Black Cats back to the Premier League.
