Trai Hume has been really impressive this season for Sunderland, this has been reflected in his value.

Sunderland‘s staple right-back, 21-year-old Trai Hume has been excellent this season early on. 11 starts and he has made it into one team of the week so far.

Attaining an average rating of 7/10 as per SofaScore, Hume has become one of Tony Mowbray‘s most consistent players.

One assist and three big chances created from right-back showcases the Northern Ireland international’s attacking threat.

While he is also defensively dominant, with over 12 defensive actions per game, playing a huge role in the Black Cats three clean sheets thus far.

Due to his impressive form, we have looked at his value, which has sky rocketed more than ten-fold since he joined the club.

Trai Hume transfer value

Sunderland signed Hume in January 2022 from Linfield in a £207k deal which showcased how highly he was thought of by the Black Cats hierarchy.

In the latest CIES market values update, Hume now has a value of £4.3 million. This over a rise of over 20 times what he was signed for.

His value is almost guaranteed to continue rising as his performances indicate he is still on the rise.

This value sees him tied as the second most valuable full-back in the league. As only Kyle Walker-Peters has a higher value, which would be expected given his status as a once Premier League player.

With Sunderland looking to be among one of the favourites for playoff qualification, Hume could soon be a Premier League right-back, which would see his value again increase substantially.
